The Incredible Hulk

Things have been a little quiet around here lately, well, in the sewing department that is.  Life is busier than ever of course.  My littlest son's birthday was this week and my creative outlet went into cake making. He requested an Incredible Hulk cake with his whole body, NOT just the face.   I couldn't find many good examples on the internet so I was a little intimidated by this one.  I'm so happy it turned out well.  For the teeth I used cut up mini marshmallows, and for the hair...black licorice.

Thankfully I didn't have to do much preparation for the party since we had it at a park, but here are the favors we handed out, in case you are curious. (I always am)

I was a little sad that I didn't get a cute birthday shirt sewn up for him, but then I remembered I just made him his Stego Tee, and I didn't feel as bad.  I need to be okay with not reaching ALL my goals, right?

Anyway, I have a baby shower to go to in the morning and I'm hoping to finish off this little quilt.

 AND

This little pillow cover has sat on my dresser ready to sew since a week before Valentine's day, it is just begging to be completed.

Wish me Luck!
