Here are the little booties I finished up to go with MY gift for the baby shower (for the girl who received the diaper bags.) I started them a couple of years ago when I wanted a little challenge one day. I made them like a pair of baby booties Luke had. Anyway, I never finished them. Since the mom to be and her husband both served in the Army, I thought it would be a fitting gift for their new little cadet.
I'm hoping that one is a little slouchy in this picture because in real life they didn't look that different in size 🙂 Here's a side view...they are made out of polar fleece.
My fabric order arrived on Saturday. It came 3 days after I ordered it. I got a couple from the Innocent Crush line, Cherry Laurel Dots by Amy Butler , and the green and blue are by Anthology (which are washed and ready to sew up for Mer's Easter dress, crossing my fingers that it gets done, she picked the fabric)
One more thing. Today I drove up to my local Pfaff dealer and bought myself another birthday gift... a quilting foot for my sewing machine. I plan on trying it out on the next project in the works.
It will be my first attempt at machine quilting other than straight lines with no quilting foot. Should I just do straight lines again? Should I attempt a pattern? Any suggestions or helpful hints??
Those are the cutest booties ever!
