fabric haul from Girl Charlee

Hello! I live in Florida and it is getting HOT here. I'm usually just a girl who lives in jeans daily but I just can't do it in summer! I am in desperate need of some skirts so I ordered some knit fabric from Girl Charlee Fabrics and it came last week. Want to see my haul?

Summer Skirt #1: Faux Wrap Skirt

I will be using the Black and White Small Stripe Cotton with Spandex to make the Faux Wrap skirt from my book Just For You Selfish Sewing (affiliate link). I'm also going to use the left over to make hair scrunchies for my Etsy Shop. I have a skirt like this already but it's just a smidge short so I'm going to make it again. It's so comfortable!

Summer Skirt #2: Pleated Pencil Skirt

I plan on using the Black and Gray Tie Dye Stretch Denim to make a pencil skirt using the pattern and hack for the Pleated Pencil Skirt by Delia Creates.

Summer Skirt #3: DIY Drawstring Skirt

Lastly, I'm going to use the Grass Green & White Big Stripe French Terry to make a drawstring skirt like this. I have one that I bought a few years ago that I am going to use for a pattern. I am excited to show you how to make one too in my next post.

Okay that's it for today! I am giving myself a high five for actually posting today. Here's to hoping to be more present over here in blog land.

Update! I finished 2 of the skirts! You can see them in these blog posts...

Happy Sewing!
