Argyle Valentine Wreath

We did some Fun Valentine Preschool activities this week so we could countdown to Valentines Day. Anything to keep little finger busy and make the holiday fun. I also made a little Valentine's wreath this week.  I took a cue from Made on Maple and just took apart my Halloween wreath and added some argyle hearts.  I love an easy project!

Valentine Countdown

Are you counting down to Valentine's Day? My littlest will be 5 on the 20th and he is very excited. I've told him over an over that his birthday is after Valentine's day so to provide a little distraction and a little fun we are counting down to Valentine's day with Valentine homework and activities every day.

Heart Envelope Valentines Countdown

I made a little felt valentine envelope to hold his "assignments" each day. We read a Valentine story, do a game or play activity, and then a learning activity at homework time.  It has been a ton of fun. We set up a little area on the back porch and my older son joins him when he's done with his homework too.   Here are a few activities we've done.

Sorting Conversation Hearts

Which turned into stacking and counting.

V is for Valentine.

I drew a heart and he had to glue a V onto the bottom and then glue conversation hearts around the edges. I also dotted the word VALENTINE across the top for him to trace. He loved it.

Valentine Tub Match

I cut out heart shapes from craft foam and wrote a word on each with a permanent marker. Then I drew a matching heart on the shower wall with crayon soap. This was really fun. This is a great activity that could be used all year with any shapes.

Heart Shaped Crayons

I found a Heart shaped candy mold and we melted Heart Crayons. We had fun finding all the broken crayons and breaking them up . We will used these to color with in future activities. Just FYI it's pretty hard to get the residue off the mold do it only for crayons now.

This has really been so much.  Of course I got all my ideas on Pinterest. You can find  these activities and many more pinned on my Valentine board.

What are you doing to make the holiday fun? I'm always looking for more great ideas so leave one in the comments if you have one to share!
