About the Pattern
This Baby Bumble Bee Costume Pattern is written for a confident beginner. This means you can make this even if you have never made a costume or even a piece of clothing before! There are plenty of photos and step by step instructions to help you along the way. The supplies you need can be easily found at your local fabric/craft store.
This cozy costume is made using soft fleece fabric. Fleece is easy to sew, doesn't fray, and requires minimal hemming. Instructions are included to make it into a tunic without the snap flaps (pictured below). Add leggings and an undershirt for colder weather!

Tom as "Super Bee"! |
The Baby Bumble Bee body is constructed using a onesie style pattern piece with the stripes appliqued on before sewing the side seams - the black and yellow stripes are NOT pieced together. The wings are made using two layers of fabric fused together with pipe cleaners hot glued around the edges. The stinger and wings are hand stitched in place. There is a button closure in the back of the neck and a set of snaps at the bottom.
