Halloween season is so much fun! It provides the perfect opportunity to get creative and brush off your crafting and sewing supplies. Here are 10 fun creative ideas to decorate your house for Halloween.

1. Hang a Garland

Make a fun garland to string up around the house. String them across windows, doorways or along a mantle or shelf. Get your kids involved to and make it an activity you do together.

2. Make a yarn spider web

One of our houses had a half wall in our entryway where we would string a hug spiderweb out of gray yarn. Ours looked like this big spiderweb tutorial. I don't have a great picture but you can see it to the side of our table in this picture. We were making Haunted mansion graham cracker houses during our mini Halloween Party.

3. Add a wreath to your front door

I found this yarn wrapped bat wreath idea on Pinterest years ago when yarn wreaths were popular. The moon and bat are cut out of felt and hotglued onto cereal cardboard.

Sometimes to add another layer stretch a long piece of cheese cloth behind my wreath to make it look like a spiderweb is behind it.

4. DIY Tombstones in the front yard

Make thes fake tombstones out of styrofoam packing board. Just cut them out and paint them with acrylic paint. Your kids will have fun thinking up creative names for them. Don't forget to add the birth and death years.
